ISO Compliant & CE Certified for Direct Solar Viewing

Our Solar Shield is designed to protect your eyes from harmful solar radiation, so you can indulge in your curiosity without jeopardizing your health and wellness. Each Solar Shield in our inventory is “CE” Certified and meets the standard for ISO 12312-2:2015.

The lens itself is made from our exclusive scratch-resistant, grade 5 optical density “Black Polymer” material, which filters out 100% of harmful ultraviolet light and infrared light, and 99.999% of intense visible light. The lens is mounted in a sturdy, laminated board holder that measures 8.5” x 5.5”,  with a 2” x 4” aperture. As a safety precaution, each solar viewer is printed with valuable eclipse information on the backside (in English translation only - other languages can be produced upon request).
